VITEM-VI

A VITEM VI is granted to the foreign citizen who goes to Brazil as a correspondent for a foreign communication agency. The application is addressed directly to the Office of Social Communication of the Brazilian Ministry of External Relations, which is the organ responsible for its approval.

In order to be granted a VITEM VI, the applicant must submit a certificate of no criminal record or equivalent document, in addition to the documents mentioned in the General Requirements.

The Consular Section can process VITEM VI applications for people who have been residing within its jurisdiction for less than one year.

In order to register with the Maritime, Aerial and Borders Police Division (DPMAF), bearers of a VITEM VI will receive one copy of the Visa Application Form. Bearers of a VITEM VI must register with the Ministry of Justice within 30 (thirty) days of their date of arrival.
