A VITEM II may be granted to people travelling to Brazil with no remuneration from a source within the national territory:

Business;

For technical assistance services as defined in contracts;

Journalists, film-makers or technicians of foreign communication agencies producing films or reports in Brazil, and who fulfill the pertinent legal requirements;

Crew members of ships and aircraft who are not holders of international crew member ID cards;

Foreigners travelling going to Brazil for the purpose of adopting Brazilian minors;
In addition to the General Requirements above, applicants for a VITEM II must present a letter from the institution or company to which he or she is attached clearly identifying the purpose of travel.
